What It Is
A small-group, guided Cantonese opera experience for just 20 people on Saturday, May 24th. This special day is curated by Sue Paige, who’ll welcome you, explain the art, and lead our intimate group through an unforgettable cultural immersion.
Event Highlights
- Pre-show Cantonese Brunch @ R&G Lounge (11 AM): Learn about the opera and prepare for the show over delicious food!
- Opera Show (XII) @ Great Star Theater (12:30 PM): The main event! Experience captivating performances with live English captions projected.
- Behind-the-Curtains Access: Meet the talented performers and get a peek backstage.
- Post-show Cocktails @ Li Po Lounge (5:30 PM): Debrief and celebrate with new friends.
- Scenic Stroll: Enjoy a brief, 4-minute scenic walk between venues in historic Chinatown.
- Hanfu Optional: Sue will be wearing a modern take on traditional hanfu. You’re welcome to join in, but it’s entirely optional!
